Water Rates & Fees

Tract 349 Mutual Water Co. is committed to cost-efficient operations and reliable water service. To fund necessary capital improvement projects, offset the increase in the Company’s replenishment assessment by the Water Replenishment District, offset increased operating costs, and offset increased costs to continuously upgrade and repair the Company’s distribution system, the Company must adjust its water rates and charges.

Your water bill consists of two charges: a commodity rate for water used and a fixed service charge based on meter size (the “readiness to serve” charge). The amount you pay for water will vary depending on consumption and the size of your meter. Please read below for a breakdown of the charges on your water bill.

Water Rates – Effective May 1, 2026

Effective May 1 2026, the billing rate of 100 cubic feet of water will be $5.19. This reflects a 25.0 percent increase from the previous commodity rate. (100 cubic feet, or HCF, equals 748 gallons)

(Effective April 1, 2024, the Company charges readiness to serve (RTS) rates monthly, rather than bi-monthly. Customers will continue to receive their bills every two months.)

The readiness to serve (RTS) billing rate will be increased by 25.0 percent on May 1, 2026. Readiness to serve billing rates will be as follows:

* If a customer’s service has been disconnected and the customer’s meter has been “pulled” or removed from the premises, then the customer or any succeeding property owner of that premises will pay a reduced meter charge of $30 per month for the right to future water deliveries to that premises. Once service has been reestablished in accordance with the Company’s rules and policies, the customer’s monthly Meter Charge will be based on the customer’s meter size and the Company’s then-current schedule of Service Charges.
